We are Wayne and Trina Hatcher of Hatch's Parrot Place. We have
lived in Rio Rancho, New Mexico for over 20 years. We have been
raising, re-homing, and rehabilitating parrots since 1996. We are
currently owned by 18 pet birds. Our passion for parrots led us to
wanting to do more for parrots. We started our Parrot Place business
in 2006 because we wanted to help educate new parrot owners about
parrot behavior and needs as the parrot matures. We are PIJAC
Certified Avian Specialists and our goal is to help reduce the growing
numbers of re-home and rescue situations due to false expectations of
the parrot and the owners unknowingly reinforcing bad behaviors.
We feel the purchase of a parrot should not be an impulse buy and fully
expect that the people we sell to spend time with and learn about their
parrot before taking him or her home.
